| How would you rate your satisfaction? Are you only 'you' that could have been? Today, the world before you looks like it has not been inhabited in years. Yesterday, it was the world you knew, the one you remember, though many of the people you knew had begun to go missing. A week ago, you believe, you were with all of them, carrying on as normal. Things had changed so quickly. Was there really nothing you could have done? Now, abandoned homes show little sign of life. Animals without owners skitter through etched out paths and streets, many of them completely feral. The fact that so many of the lights still function is rather impressive. By chance, you notice it. The door from your home hanging neatly on another building, amongst people who do not know your name. The gates to your city re-purposed as someone's fence. The emblem of your enemy's army plastered over an abandoned warehouse. Your school's uniforms hanging outside an area you've never seen, worn by those you've never met. No matter what it is, it is something familiar, something yours, but not quite where you remember it being. And though it is yours, as you're certain, it also has aged. It has clearly been a part of the environment for some time. So too, are you. You are here because you deeply wished for something, whether you know it or not. You wanted, and so did they. There are those who coveted and achieved in this paradise, and those who wanted and lost. Those ones are the husks. The failed ones. After all, everyone should have a chance to make their dreams come true. Some succeed. Others die trying. Meliore is an intimacy/survival sandbox game with plot, extremely light AC checks, and the potential for characters to affect the fate of the world. | ||||
